The Player Development Committee is pleased to announce APC's partnership with The PutAway to offer clinics year round, rain or shine. The PutAway is located at 254 Najoles Rd, Suites A-K, Millersville, MD 21108.

The APC Academy clinics are offered exclusively to APC members. Clinic registration is managed through CourtReserve. Download the CourtReserve App to your phone and add The PutAway to "My Organizations." Registration links are provided for each clinic on the APC Event calendar. Touch or click on the links to open CourtReserve and register.

The APC Academy uses the USA Pickleball Association Definitions of Players Skill Rating to guide its curriculum. Please refer to these ratings to determine which clinic is best suited for you.

Wed, 1 May, 10:00-11:30. Getting to 3.0: Baseline Fundamentals. Playing from the baseline requires shot preparation and control. This clinic will teach you the fundamentals of playing from the baseline, including techniques to help you develop confidence and consistency in your shots as well as strategies to transition from a defensive position to an offensive one. The clinic will also teach you how to move as a team toward the Non-Volley Zone and how to anticipate your opponent’s next move. Using drills and game-like scenarios, we will focus on understanding when to hit a drive or a drop shot and implement the fundamental techniques for both. A minimum DUPR rating of 2.5 is strongly recommended for this clinic.

Wed, 1 May, 12:00-1:30. Getting to 3.5: Baseline Fundamentals. Playing from the baseline requires a combination of power, spin and control to keep your opponents off-balance and force them to make errors. This clinic will teach you how to add more power and spin to your shots, including techniques for generating more paddle head speed, spin and consistency. The clinic will also teach you how to identify and anticipate different types of shots hit at you and how to choose your best response for each situation. Using intense drills and game-like scenarios, we will focus on understanding when to hit a drive or a drop shot and how to execute each shot with precision. Players will take a more strategic approach to the Non-Volley Zone, focusing on the shift from a defensive position to an offensive one. A minimum DUPR rating of 3.0 is strongly recommended for this clinic.

Refund Policy

Full refunds will be issued if less than 3 players are registered by 5pm on the day prior to the clinic.

The PutAway will process all refunds for APC students.

Cancellation Policy

The APC Clinic follows The PutAway's Cancellation Policy.

Cancellations for APC Academy Clinics made within 24 hours of the start of the APC Clinic are not eligible for refunds. Exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis by calling 410-205-5576 or emailing info@playputawaypickleball.com.

Cancellations outside of 24 hours of the start of the APC Clinic are automatically processed as a refund to the original form of payment directly by the user by withdrawing from the clinic.

Refunds shall not be issued for no-shows.

A $10/occurrence No-Show Fee shall be assessed for any no-shows to APC Academy Clinics.
