Hi Clayton:

Please sign up for the beginners league on Thursdays.  Chances are you will get someone to give you a lesson before hand.  Even if you show up as someone who has never played you can learn as you go.  You can also go to open play at Truxton this summer and ask someone to hit the ball with you.  Many of us learned how to play pickleball that way -- when no lessons were given.  I will make sure to put absolute beginners in the league together and help out as needed on Thursdays.
